Redesigning one of my favorite albums was a passion project for me. I have spent so many hours of my life listening to Songs of Love
and Hate that it seemed appropriate to create a design that reflects the music that I love so much.

My imagery references the existence of duality in life. The yin and the yang, the light and dark, the growth and decay. A bearded Iris falls from it’s stem and melts into a watercolor petal as it begins to decay. It is that nearly unrecognizable moment, when the flower is somewhere between what it was, and what it will be, that reminds me of love and hate.
