The warm, folksy feel of the small cafés and restaurants of Western Europe lingered in my memory long after my travels. The atmosphere of these places seemed naturally designed, crafted by the decorative instincts of an artistic person with an innate understanding of beauty and design. Illustrations of food and hand lettering give these places that hand crafted feeland I wanted to bring that ambiance to Le Petit Chariot.
